About the event
The IMW2026 is a flagship initiative in the field of applied mathematical modeling, offering an intensive team-based experience focused on solving real-world problems that have been previously studied, within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
The IMW is designed to introduce undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students to industrial mathematics through hands-on, real-world problem solving. Each year, students from both countries collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to tackle challenges proposed by partner companies. Throughout the programme, they are guided by dedicated mentors from both academia and industry. It is a joint project of PT-MATHS-IN (Portugal) and MATH-IN (Spain).
