The IX Iberian Modeling Week (IMW), that took place at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM), in Barcelona, gathered almost 30 participants, between students and senior researchers.
Under the supervision of the senior researchers, undergraduate and master’s students worked to tackle problems in industrial mathematics. This year's topics were:
Efficient bus allocation
Modeling hemodynamics during venous occlusion
Optimal placement of climate shelters
Balancing energy harvesting and flow efficiency in asphalt solar collectors
(further details on the problems can be found in the meeting's webpage here).
A video produced by the CRM during the week provides a vivid account of the work, environment and takeaways of this year's edition the the IMW.
